Three rivers watered the mainland of China. Hwango Ho is the river where Chinese nation has its origin.Along the banks of this river Mongoloids,Turks and Tibtians(Tibet mountains) founded this civilization.It is also called “yellow river “ or “river of sorrow ”. Political history of China revealed that shang were the first to rule there followed by Chou dynasty,Shin Dynasty,Han Dynasty and Tang Dynasty.
Ruler of Shin Dynasty Shi-Huang-Ti was a great warrior and annexed many states .Northwest part of China was not secured due to attacks of barbarians like Huns so he erected a defensive wall of length 15000miles , 20 feet thick and 22 feet high having square pillars in 221B.C. It is one of the greatest achievement of their architecture . To build such a wonderful monument in that age was not less than a miracle. But if we see the background there lie the blood of hundred and thousand of Chinese who put their efforts to build this wall. Shi-Huang-Ti destroyed all previous literature (Confucius) and introduced new code of laws.He united China and established central government.Economy of China was dependent on agriculture,metal products and silk weaving. They traded with Roman Empire by silk route because Roman were crazy about Chinese silk products.Their religion was Confucius but later on Buddhism entered by Indians and Taoism by Lao Tze.Political disorders stayed in China till its independence in 1949.
